Holiday Sugar Cookies
Sugar cookies that are tender could not be simpler. Roll into balls and flatten. By sprinkling with suitably decorator sugar customize them or sprinkles. Or decorate and freeze.

- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- Two 3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp. Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. Baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- Almond Breeze almondmilk; split
- Decorator sugar sprinkles

- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- Food coloring
Instructions
- With electric mixer on medium speed, beat 1 cup sugar, shortening, egg and vanilla in large bowl . Add cream of tartar, baking soda, baking powder and flour. Add 2 tbsp of this almondmilk and beat until smooth.
- Type into 11/4" balls, with rounded tablespoonfuls of bread. Spray bottom of cup or drinking glass dip in sugar. Press each cookie level, dipping into sugar each moment.
- Gently brush tops of biscuits, if desired and sprinkle with decorator sugar sprinkles when chilled, or leave frost and plain.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges begin to brown.
- In large bowl, 3/4 cup shortening beat powdered sugar moistened. Beat till creamy and smooth, including almondmilk for desired consistency.
