BROWN SUGAR COOKIES

Brown Sugar Cookies are a terrific twist on this cookie recipe, also gets its colour and rich taste from dark brown butter and sugar. They are plump and soft and super EASY to create. In addition they have a cook and prep full time of 30 minutes, so you are going to be in cookie paradise in hardly any time in any way.

Brown Sugar Cookies created with dark brown butter and sugar are soft, sweet, chewy, and the ideal twist on the conventional cookie prepared in under half an hour!
INGREDIENTS
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour plus 2 tbsp
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
- Note: click times from the directions to begin a kitchen timer whilst cooking.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet melt 10 tsp butter above medium-high heat. Whisk constantly until butter begins to brown, about 3-4 minutes. Pour into bowl, then add remaining butter into same bowl and set aside.
- In another bowl whisk together sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- Add remaining brown sugar and salt and whisk until smooth. Whisk in egg, egg yolk, and vanilla.
- Blend butter mix with dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
- Either roll dough out to 1/2-inch thick and use a cookie cutter, or roll into a ball and put on cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until cookies start to set.
