Ingredients
- 2 cups butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups toasted pecans
- 1 cup toffee pieces I use Skor pieces
Directions
- Cream the butter vanilla and sugar until fluffy and light.
- Fold in the flour and salt until the ingredients are entirely integrated.
- Add toffee pieces and the nuts and function into a dough that is soft.
- Logs.
- (Note: This dough will probably be fine in the refrigerator for many days if you would like to bake off the biscuits a few at a time as required.)
- When ready to bake the biscuits preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- With a sharp knife cut 1/4 inch pieces of dough 2 inches apart on a parchment lined baking sheet.
- Bake for approximately 15-18 minutes before the borders are golden brown.
- These biscuits freeze.
- If you want you may also scatter those.
- Time doesn't reflect time for the dough. Add a few hours or make the dough a day.
- Because it had been designed the purpose of lots to freeze this recipe is rather large. The recipe is easily halved if you would prefer a batch.
