CREAM CHEESE COOKIES (PILLOW SOFT COOKIES)

In case cream cheese biscuits haven't ever attempted, you are in for a TREAT! Something magical happens when you add a cookie cutter and cream cheese! You receive. They puff up, and they are addicting!


These cookies aren't an cookie so that they do lend themselves to being iced or glazed. You might keep it easy and dust with powdered sugar. You do not have to do so, but if you would like to have an excess bit of sweetness, then do it.

ingredients

  1. 4 oz cream cheese
  2. 1 egg
  3. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  4. 1 tsp almond extract
  5. 1/2 tsp baking powder

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Cream together cream and butter with electric mixer.
  2. Add sugar and beat for 1 minute. Add egg and beat to blend. Add extracts and beat till blended. Add baking powder and cake flour (in 3 parts ), mixing to blend.
  3. Refrigerate dough for at least an hour once integrated.
  4. Dough is use flour in your hands to roll 1-2 inch chunks out. You may use the base of a cup/glass dipped to flatten the balls. Do not flatten or the biscuits will not puff up.
  5. Bake for 9-11 minutes. Important: once you find the bottom edges turning 13, Pull out them! This may vary on elevation and your oven. See these biscuits.
